Our client is one of Ireland’s power utility contractors. They are key partners to the ESB on national framework contracts. The role:
- The Linesworker will perform duties covered within their voltage level approvals from Low Voltage to Medium Voltage.
- You will be expected to Climb/Work at height on both wooden poles and towers.
- You will be replacing old and erecting new equipment/hardware at both pole top and tower top.
- There will be splicing and terminating conductors to ESB spec.
- Fitting and removing network earths.
- You will be a certified line-worker with 2 years’ experience
- Safe Pass.
- Previous experience on overhead line networks from LV/MV.
- Ability to work on both wooden poles and towers.
- First Aid Training and MEWP Certificates.
- A current full and valid Driving Licence.
- Good verbal and written communications skills in English.
- Able to travel to various sites across Ireland with occasional overnight stay as and when required.
- Able to work weekends and cover out of hours as and when required.
- €22 per hour for first 39 hours - Union overtime rates thereafter
