The role:
we are seeking to hire Gas Fitters that will be working on the Gas Networks Ireland maintenance contract on delivery of ongoing metering, siteworks and customer/shipper related activities. The successful Gas Fitter will need to be available for emergency first response duties as per agreed rota.
Key Duties and Responsibilities:
- Responsible for the installation, maintenance and reparation of gas appliances and pipework in domestic and commercial buildings.
- High attention to detail to ensure installations are completed safely and accurately.
- Carrying out routine maintenance on existing gas appliances and pipework to ensure that all is operating in a safe and efficient manner.
- Reparation of faulty gas appliances and pipework.
- Ability to interpret plans and drawings accurately in order to undertake work correctly.
- Full clean driver’s license essential.
- Gas installations experience essential.
- Up to date RGI and GDA qualifications essential.
- Confident, motivated and can work independently as well as part of a team.
- Ability to work under pressure with strict deadlines.
- Time management abilities to meet targets.
- Good communication, interpersonal, and customer service skills.
- Integrity and respect for confidentiality and privacy.
- €26 p/h plus a substantial stand-by package.
