Job Description

Our client is an established international Medical Devices and Pharma company with offices in Ireland and across Europe. Over the past number of years, they have experienced exponential growth through their development of new devices and pharmaceutical products.

Due to the continued evolution and expansion of their product offering, they are now seeking to add and Electronic Engineer to the R&D team. The electronic engineer will significantly contribute to the further development of smart technology within the existing devices. This is an excellent opportunity for someone looking to build their engineering career with exposure to the newest and most advance tech in the market as well as gaining exposure to the Med/Pharma sector.


Lead electronic development and upgrade of existing and new product lines.
Concept design and evaluation for future products.
Prototype development and hands-on testing as well as validation.
Ensuring all upgrades and finished products comply with relevant electronic and medical device regulations.
Engage with and collaborate with suppliers as well as contractors on current and future development projects.
Assist in the development of manufacturing processes for a new automated medical device.
Communicate with customers to determine research and development requirements for new products
Skills and Experience

3+ years’ experience in electronic engineering
Strong engineering fundamentals such as electronic circuit design/development with microcontroller-based embedded systems.
Experience in concept generation and systems design.
Experience in prototype development.
Knowledge CC++ software development and or other similar languages such as Python etc
Previous experience of working under strict, health and safety, quality and regulatory guidelines.
Awareness of the manufacturing/assembly process and techniques.

Primary Degree (Level 8) Electronic Engineering, Mechatronics or related field.
Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills, with strong attention to detail.
Ability to work on own initiative and solve problems
Good interpersonal and communication skills with proven leadership abilities.
Must be flexible and able to manage multiple priorities simultaneously.
