Job Overview


Sparktel is partnering with one of Europe’s largest infrastructure services firms to recruit Health & Safety professionals for their 2022 Graduate Programme intake. The company is experiencing significant growth across Ireland, the UK and Europe. They specialise in designing, building, and maintaining utilities infrastructure networks. Extensive training will be provided to the right candidates as you join a 60 strong HSEQ team. This role would also suit someone who would consider travel to other EU and UK HQ’s as their career progresses.

The role:

You will join a large and experienced HSEQ department and look to immediately support field operations. This role is a mix of office and field as our client works across 100’s of live sites each day. As well as practical HSEQ support you will drive culture of safety performance across a wide range of technical and professional employees.

Key Duties:

  • Support management in the development of H&S procedures, policies, and programs.
  • Advise and instruct on safety-related matters on site.
  • Carry out risk assessments and enforce preventative measures.
  • Provide health and safety training to employees such as manual handling, toolbox talks and safety induction.
  • Carry out regular safety inspections in all areas.
  • Create a positive approach to accident prevention and protection of the environment and will initiate and maintain positive measures to raise safety, health and environmental standards and awareness.
  • Assist in the preparation of reports on occurrences and provide statistical information to management.
  • Implement the company’s health, safety and environmental policy, procedures, and management systems.
  • Maintain and manage Health & Safety KPIs to help drive improvement in all related matters.


  • Recognized applicable 3rd Level Qualification in Health and Safety.
  • Knowledge of Irish Health and Safety legislation
  • Proficient in MS Office packages.
  • Good problem-solving skills.
  • Excellent relationship building skills.
  • Fluent in the English language, both written and verbal.
  • Full clean driving license.

Job Types: Full-time, Permanent

Salary: €30,000.00-€35,000.00 per year
