Our client is a long-established Telecoms and Utilities company, with long term projects across Ireland and the UK. We are looking for Fibre Installers for the installation and commissioning of the ongoing NI roll-out of Fibre to the Home across N.I. to be specifically dedicated to Multi Dwelling Units. (Apartment Properties.) This is full time, permanent work directly with our client.
The successful candidate will be report back to the MDU Project Manager and be responsible for the day-to-day installation and commissioning of:
External cabling works through existing duct infrastructure to the property.
An ‘Invisilight’ internal fibre solution within the interior fabric of the building from a central location to each apartment via pre-planned routes in common areas.
Or an externally mounted solution to a central location on the external façade of the dwellings.
What do you need:
Experience of working within a residential project environment.
A good understanding and practical experience in cable installation and equipment fit out.
Proven fibre splicing experience would be an advantage.
Knowledge of telecommunication infrastructure and/or experience in FTTP network design.
Excellent working knowledge of internal telecoms and/or electrical network installations.
Prior installation experience of internal telecoms or electrical networks in MDUs/MBUs would be an advantage.
Ability to read construction blueprints.
Ability to complete installation job-packs including splicing schedules and as installed drawings.
Ensure all Health & Safety procedures are adhered to, along with client Standard Operating Procedures and any other statutory/regulatory obligations.
Excellent communication skills.
Excellent IT skills.
A Full/clean driving licence would be essential.
CSCS/CSR qualification would be an advantage but will not exclude the ideal candidate.
IPAF would be an advantage but will not exclude the ideal candidate.
Permanent, full-time contract

Average weekly pay of £700 – £800 +(with performance bonus).
Stand-down, weekly rate of £600 – £650.
New equipment, tools and PPE provided.
