We are working on behalf of a multi-national construction firm to recruit a Project Manager to deliver on complex building and infrastructure projects in the Dublin region.
The Project Manager will have responsibility over a large Dublin based infrastructure project. You will have direct management responsibility over of all aspects of the project, including Health & Safety, Programming, Technical, Quality and Commercial elements. You will also have responsibility over the management of field supervisors and the infield population. This will comprise of both direct and subcontract labour.
Key Duties/ Responsibilities:
Overall management of full project lifecycle from inception to project delivery.
Ensure that all work complies with Health & Safety standards in line with company policies.
Overseeing quality control on site for all aspects of the works.
Planning and scheduling the works and managing the construction programme.
Attending regular site meetings with the construction team, design team and the client.
Responsible for cost management and the pricing of works.
Management of field supervisors, direct labour, and sub-contractors.
Ensure that project design solutions are delivered to the highest standards and meet programme and budgetary constraints.
Monitoring and recording progress on site and assisting in updating the works programme.
Management of material deliveries on site and checking quality of materials.
Experience, Knowledge and Skills:
Degree or Diploma in Civil Engineering or appropriate experience
Minimum of 4 years’ site or management experience
Commercial and contractual awareness
Good understanding of computer and database applications such as Windows, Word, Excel, Access, PowerPoint, Microsoft Project/Power Project etc.
Thorough understanding of the construction industry and broad understanding of regulatory requirements
Excellent communication skills.
