Sparktel Recruitment is partnering with a leading Utilities Infrastructure company to recruit a Quality Manager. This is an exciting opportunity for an experienced Quality Manager looking to take the next step in their career to a vibrant role.

Job Purpose:

Reporting to the General Manager, you will be responsible for leading all operational activities in relation to Quality. You will lead and drive quality with regards to standards, policies & procedures as set out by the company. You will also be responsible for the implementation of Quality standards. relevant programs and initiatives whilst leading, developing and promoting a best-in-class culture within your team.

Key Duties:

Oversee and manage the quality team to ensure quality standards are maintained at the highest possible level.
Ensuring full compliance with legislation, Health & Safety Executive Guidelines, NRSWA practices, Technical specification, Training & Accreditation.
Provide guidance and feedback to your direct reports to ensure full understanding of company and 3rd party policies and procedures.
Work with various stakeholders of the company to develop and maintain effective quality control processes.
Ensure a ‘Right First Time’ approach is delivered and maintained across the company.
Act as a source of independent advice to ensure quality and compliance company goals are achieved.
Ensure strict adherence to Health & Safety guidelines and legislation by all levels within the company.
Perform full audit cycle including Risk & Control Management across various departments.
Conduct corrective actions reviews, audits, inspections, and risk assessments.
Act as support for external audits through client liaison.
Develop and implement auditing schedules based on thorough research with the Operations Management.
Conduct training needs analysis as required.
Oversee and regularly review all company procedures to identify deviations and areas for improvement.
Manage and undertake quality root-cause analysis studies
Keep accurate documentation and perform regular analysis of quality standards in line with company procedures.
Liaise regularly with Operational Management and various stakeholders to develop, maintain and exceed quality expectations.
Draft and submit detailed reports to Senior Manager’s as and when required.
Consistently strive for improvement and ways to develop efficient procedures.

The Person:

Previous experience working within a Quality or Health & Safety role within the utilities industry.
Proven managerial experience working throughout the project life cycle.
In-depth understanding and knowledge of quality control procedures along with supporting legislation.
Ability to perform data & statistical analysis.
IOSH Certified
SWQR Supervisor Level
Excellent communication skills.
Excellent organisational skills.
Excellent leadership skills with an ability to get the best from a team.
Proficient in MS Office package.
Sense of humour!
