Overview:
Our client is one of Ireland’s leading Infrastructure Design and Build providers. They work across a number of large national framework contracts on including utilities and civils. A key contract is with a number of Dublin and Leinster councils. Our client provides full turn key services for the build, upgrade and maintenance of street, footpath and road infrastructure.
They are currently seeking an experience engineer to manage this key contract. You will lead a small team comprising of a QS, Admin as well as field supervisors. You will also be supported by a large service division of HSEQ, Finance, programme management, HR and Design as and when required.

Responsibilities:
- Reporting to the Operations Director you will lead and manage a civils project team
- You will bring to life the long term programme of works by distilling it down for the allocation of works to direct and sub-contractor teams.
- Manage relationship with key councils and relevant stakeholders.
- To promote and ensure high standards of Health, Safety and Quality on projects
- Setting out all aspects of works
- Onsite information management from specification, designs drawings and design issues
- Checking drawings and quantities and ensuring calculations are accurate
- Responsible for supervising and managing sub-contractors
- Compile records of works to ensure accurate invoicing and payment to sub-contractors
- Assist with cost management and the pricing of work
- Support operational leadership team in bid and tender opportunities.
- Ensure the company’s image and profile at site level is professional
Requirements:
- A level 8 Degree in Civil Engineering
- 5+ years of experience working on general civils projects, experience in utilities and roadworks would be a distinct advantage
- Good understanding of Health, Safety and Environmental regulations
- Strong setting out experience, with proficiency in Total Station Topcon and/or a GPS Trimble EDM instrumentation
- Excellent verbal communication skills, which allow you to confidently liaise with clients and team members.
