Job Title: Health & Safety Advisor
Location: Munster (field based Munster)
Salary: €45k-€50k + vehicle
Overview
Sparktel are currently recruiting for a Health and Safety Advisor to join our client who is a leader in the provision of design, construction and maintenance services for the Telecoms Infrastructure Industry in Ireland. This role will report to the Health and Safety Manager and will be site-based in the Munster area.
Responsibilities
- Supporting with the design, implementation and monitoring of Health and Safety strategy and policies
- Guiding and advising employees at all levels on Health and Safety matters
- Ensuring that the company’s safety statement and supporting documentation is up to date and compliant with relevant legislation and best practice
- Monitoring and measurement of safety performance
- Identifying training needs and development of training programmes in consultation with managers and supervisors.
- Development of auditing and inspection procedures
- Investigating accidents, near misses etc. and reporting on the same
- Ensuring the yearly retention of our ISO accreditations
Experience Required
- 2+ years relevant experience
- Health and Safety qualification is essential.
- Excellent knowledge and understanding of Health and Safety legislation and how it can be implemented in a field environment
- Previous experience in a Telecoms, Civils or Construction environment is required
- A full clean driving licence is essential
