Overview:
Sparktel are currently recruiting for a HSQE Advisor to work on-site in the midlands region. We are seeking an experienced individual with a background in Health, Safety, Quality, and Environmental (HSQE) roles within the utilities or construction sector to join our team. The successful candidate will report to the HSQE Manager and will be responsible for promoting a strong HSE culture, providing administrative support, offering advisory services, and ensuring compliance with company policies and regulations.
Key Responsibilities:
- Generate weekly safety reports.
- Perform formal site audits and inspections.
- Report audit results to site management and help resolve any identified issues.
- Prepare/present safety briefings and lead site inductions.
- Distribute safety reports and maintain HSE records, such as training logs, inspection reports and accident documentation
- Track safety performance and provide guidance on adherence to health, safety, and environmental regulations.
- Review and ensure adherence to risk assessments and HSE components of RAMS documentation.
- Assist in developing emergency response plans.
- Ensure sub-contractors' safety documentation is compliant
- Develop and communicate site emergency plans with the site management team.
- Submit safety reports to the head office as required.
Experience Required
- 2+ years’ experience in a similar HSQE position.
- HSE Qualification, Safe Pass and Full driving license
- Experience in the civil and utilities industries, knowledge of electricity generation and distribution
- Strong IT Skills particularly MS Word, Excel, and Outlook
